Comfortable guesthouse on Transfagarasan
Casa Mosului is one of the first guesthouses in Cartisoara and is a favorite place for cyclists to cross the Fagaras mountains on Transfagarasan. Very good conditions for cyclists.
Casa Mosului opened in the summer of 2008. It was built in an old village full of stories, Cârtisoara, a village located at the foot of the Transfăgărăsan road, from where the famous traveler-peasant, Badea Cârțan, left to see this big world.
It is made of local wood and stone and is decorated with old objects collected from the valleys of Făgăraș.
Casa Moșului is not big, because we receive guests, not tourists. And because Santa, a householder with white hair, must take great care of anyone who crosses his threshold.
We have six large and bright rooms, with glossy floors and soft beds, just good for rest and laziness. They are reached by climbing a log staircase from the forests of Făgăraş. In the living room, the fire often smolders in the fireplace and a large and rich table is laid out, with the tastiest dishes, cooked by Aunt Mariana.
We await you with a blooming garden from early spring to late autumn. A garden where you can spend the evening talking or simply sit in the swing and listen to the crickets. In winter, we host, free of charge, as many snowmen as you like in our welcoming yard.
